PERSONE was recently approached by long-time client The Interventional Initiative to assist them in converting their physical, paper decision aid handouts into a digital web-based format. This format would accompany the customary handouts that physicians give to patients during appointments to inform them about potential upcoming surgical procedures and post-operative care.
With few exceptions, the designs could remain almost the same. We designed the page template using the same structure and content formatting to retain cohesion between the designs and ensure a familiarity when accessing the new digital documentation.
Initially we set up a first set of documents, including the procedure information as well as post-procedure pages. This established the templates could work, the formatting was in place, now it was just time to continue developing content for these pages and build out the procedure library.
We completed an initial set of 14 documents, including 7 procedures with 7 post procedure pages. Once this was set, we also translated this initial offering into Spanish language format.
The program was handed back to the client after development of the prototype documents and formatting. Currently they are up to around 40+ documents as of today. So, it seems to be a successful, scalable platform which supports further growth and digital distribution of critical procedure-based and patient care information.
