PERSONE was approached by a long time colleague who requested our assistance with the design and Figma setup for the new version of the Praeses website.
After first designing and producing a landing page with 3 sections of content, we got new content and more videos with a request to include them all on the landing page we'd done. Knowing this would be unweildy we set out to propose a different approach.
The products themselves all grouped nicely together, although there was an additional element The Correctional Services Group which we eventually shortened to Corrections and grouped that in with the products under a heading called Solutions which could be a bit more universal. With the templates built, we approached the client for approval to develop the revised site with more pages. In addition because of the addition of more videos, we decided to simplify the presentation, offering one video at a time based upon the section or page the user is in.
The client was very happy with the first round of our design and development. They have entrusted us with a second phase which will be completed within a few months, if not sooner. The project is approved and we are already writing the copy, with design templates in waiting for some final images and information.
The new designs we've put forward will focus the user more than our previous landing page. Initially it felt a bit disorienting to have multiple videos coming in the intro carousel. However with this round of designs, we've maintained the design rules and structures we set up in the first round, but are separating the content onto more contextual pages which will make the SEO better and all of our content packaging will be more focused as well. Stay tuned for launch of this round of site. In the meantime, visit www.praeses.com for our previous round of design and development.
