Liss Fain Dance first contacted PERSONE to update the functionality and consistency of their web site. The goal was to modernize the branding of the company as well as increase the visibility of their site to patrons, and offer basic marketing functionality such as gather mailing list submissions, and offer additional, in-depth information, imagery and videos about the company and it's performances.
At first, we focused first on increasing the consistency of branding between the company's offline, printed communications and coordinated online efforts to follow the dominant, pre-existing offline brand direction. Once we established clear, updated branding guidelines, we also approached the site from a usability and consistency standpoint. Modernizing the design helped a lot, but we also re-organized the information architecture creating amore scalable infrastructure that would be easy to update and manage. The site features informational pages along with a dynamic photo gallery full of striking imagery from the company's repertoire, and has been updated with HTML 5 video embedding with Flash and fallback content for older browsers not supporting HTML 5.
The updated site includes a dynamic photo gallery, a newsletter archive, HTML 5 videos section, detailed online press kit, donation capability and mailinglist signup along with the pre-existing functionality and content offerings including basic company info and performance schedule.
In addition to promoting and maintaining the web site, the company has been utilizing an online newsletter and HTML Email template for seasonal and promotional updates. These efforts include design and production of HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP elements and cross-browser and cross-platform testing and QA with a variety of common email, browser and media clients.
