San Francisco mobile technology entrepreneurs with technology from the French wireless company Vodafone's network software systems wanted to extend access to any mobile phone browser for free email services not associated with the mobile network provider account.
The effect of this is huge, opening up the mobile email sector with leading-edge AJAX development supporting free email access for multiple accounts, including Gmail and other web or POP style email accounts.
Teaming up with local talent for another take on technology sector and youth markets PERSONE became familiar with the user-experience and desired functionality. With this understanding of the project goals, we designed two sets of icons to complement, yet provide alternate looks for the user-interface. These looks are being used to test different skins in the beta development cycle.
Drawing on our branding experience we embarked on a design discovery with highly dimensional, active shapes. Specifically, we wanted a crisp, refined look that reads intuitively and adds color and life to the mobile application. We created headers and icon images for use on multiple mobile systems at various sizes and pixel depths.
FreedoMail is currently in a beta development stage. The services is almost fully functional and the management team is currently using the new interfaces and demonstrating the functionality through active demonstrations of the email service.
